BLACKPOOL CRASHED out of the Carling Cup last night as a strong MK Dons side overcame what was for the most part a second string Blackpool side.
Sam Baldock opened the scoring for the Dons with a long range in the first minute, with Brett Ormerod levelling on 60 minutes.
Jermaine Easter in an inspired spell then hit two goals in two minutes to put the Dons 3:1 up with Ludovic Sylvestre then reducing arrears a minute later.
Charlie Adam then scored a late penalty to bring about extra time where substitute Guy struck the decisive blow with 10 minutes left.
Blackpool Manager Ian Holloway wasn’t at the match and there were 10 changes to the side that lost at the Emirates stadium on Saturday but Blackpool’s 2nd 11 deserved credit for the battling performance in what was a very entertaining match.

Oh dear. I thought this game might be a much needed confidence booster before the Fulham match.
No it was a strategically plan so Blackpool with their small squad would not have any cup distractions as they push for the Premiership title.
Or so I told my eight year old.
